Poem-where I am/dementia

“HELP ME, TELL ME WHERE I AM”

Howling to the passing people through the window

“I WONDER WHAT I SHOULD DO”

Raising your hopeless voice to the ceiling

When the evening dawn falls,

I turn on the lights in your room

Never face to me at all

You’re afraid of me…I’m a stranger

I cook your favorite feast in the kitchen

and the ”yummy” brings you the word-”MOM

Then, I listen to your sleeping breath

Your relief here as a HOME
